On October 20th BBCE team held the 1st seminar for Latvian partner national counterparts - researcher and SMEs. In total 40 researchers participated in the seminar, gained new knowledge about the BBCE core institution research fields as well as BBCE project idea, current status and our long term goals. Representative from RTU RBIDC, LIOS and RSU was onsite to share their knowledge on biomaterial development for bone tissue regeneration. The coordinator Asoc.prof. Janis Locs after the presentations invited all participants to share their thoughts on development of Baltic Biomaterials Centre of Excellence and we gained new ideas how to proceed with BBCE business plan.

BBCE project´s main objective is to establish a joint Baltic Biomaterials Centre of Excellence for advanced biomaterials development based on the long-term strategic cooperation between AO Research Institute Davos, Switzerland (ARI) and Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany (FAU) on the one hand and RTU RBIDC, LIOS, RSU and RSU IS on the other hand.
